Seahorses Are A Great Tank Companion For Your Pet Fish Or Marine Creature
Seahorses have an exoskeleton covered with a type of skin rather than scales. This makes the seahorse more susceptible to external injuries and infections than other fish. There are over 40 recognized Hippocampus genus member seahorses that live in tropical, sub-tropical and temperate waters. Seahorses need at least one hold fast or hitching post in the tank. The best food for captive seahors is frozen Mysis shrimp. If an aquacultured seahor eats Mysis, it should not be a problem. Seahorse are not aggressive feeders. Any fish or invertebrates you include in the fishtank should be slow, cautious eaters. Seahor Compatible Tankmates. . . .
